Teir use should come as no surprise, considering Apple alone shipped 23 million tablets in the fourth quarter of 2012. Tablets are fueling the race to the digital age, which has happened at break-neck speed. A new study from NPD Group shows 37 percent of consumers who used to access content on their PCs switched to their tablets and smartphones. While most of those users are browsing the Internet or going on Facebook, reading books and magazines and playing games were tied for third place as the top activities for tablet users.
